SEO FOR BUSINESS.

by admin @ www.IndianapolisSEO.org

SEO FOR BUSINESS. If you are a business owner then I don’t need to remind you about how much time you do not have for all of the things that you need to do or get done. You are the one person who is constantly thinking about all aspects of your business. Where it needs attention, what issues could become bigger problems and what things that you accomplished last quarter are now creeping back up on you again. The stress is familiar and the pressure never stops. Truth be told though, you would probably miss it all if it went away tomorrow, because you love what you do, the whole process. Here is something that you maybe have never given any thought to. Google is really just a business, albeit probably a little larger than yours, but a business just the same. They actually have customers that they are trying to serve and provide a service to. Their primary service, their main product is producing “search results” to anyone searching anything on Google. We use search engines all of the time now. Google says that over 80% of people now use a search engine first to find something they are looking for. That is quite a number.  It is almost second nature for us now. Think about this a little more, Google “wants” to offer up to you the most relevant search results, to match as best they can what it is you are looking for, based upon whatever it is you typed in. As you are aware, there are literally millions of websites and destinations out on the web. Google needs to be able to give you, very quickly, the best results in the most likely order of those results providing you with the information you are looking for. They can only accomplish this task IF they know what information is out there. The Google bot routinely crawls the entire web and makes an “index” of what it finds. Google needs to be able to tell what your website is about, what services or products or information you are trying to provide. There are several additional things that Google also wants to know about your site and they take this information into consideration as well when they decide how relevant your site might be as a result to a given search term. These are things like; Your website structure. (build platform, layout) Is the website mobile device friendly? (Does it display properly on a mobile device? Google now says that up to 60% of all searches are from a mobile device. Google automatically cuts your ranking score by 50% if your website is not mobile friendly.) Your website age. How many pages does your website have? How much content is on your website? How is that content being presented? Is the content relevant to the subject matter or is it spammy? (fake, not relevant) The number of images and how they are tagged. How much traffic (site visitors) does […]

Surpass the competition by keeping an eye on digital trends

by Bohlsen Group @ Bohlsen Group

Working in online media guarantees frequent change that can leave a digital marketer’s head spinning. Sometimes these alterations may be trivial, but an entire interface can change in the blink of an eye.

With just a couple of months behind us in 2017, what have we learned about where we are headed?

Three points are paving the way for a new model of online media. Buckle up, because as you know, we might change directions at any moment.

It’s still pay to play

Were you affected by Facebook’s startling announcement that their reach and impression rates were inflated?

If you run organic content on a Facebook page, you’re keenly aware of the insights involved in each particular post. Facebook’s ever-changing algorithm makes it so social media managers have to stay up-to-date with everything digital, as a minor change in how Facebook delivers content can have a major impact on who sees your brand’s organic posts.

In 2017, solely sharing organic content won’t help your brand stand out amongst countless other online noise, selfies, and puppy videos. An integrated approach that combines organic social media outreach with a targeted paid strategy is now required.

If you’ve never opened your checkbook to boost a post or create an ad, you’ll want to transition to a strategy that includes paid content. Implementing a paid strategy can guarantee views or engagement to a targeted demographic, so be sure to set aside a budget to ensure that the right audience is seeing your brand on a consistent basis.

Boost your online personality by 100%

Lacking engagement rates? Sorry. But your content might be boring.

Emojis, gifs, memes, and photos are all important. Understand your brand, but know that even high-tier professional companies need to improve their voice to succeed and stand out.

If you’re simply saying, “Look at us!” you are going to very quickly be swept aside. Your audience wants engagement. By giving it to them, you can help boost brand loyalty and keep your fans coming back over and over again.

Wendy’s recently made headlines with cheeky responses and a level of sass that takes effort and walks a fine line. But they did great and improved their reach and engagement. This level of authenticity from a brand on social media is rare, as many rely on playing it safe rather than ruffling feathers. By injecting personality into their social media feed, Wendy’s was able to cut through the noise of social media and stand out as an example of stellar customer engagement.

The future isn’t exactly human

Who exactly is that person with the random profile picture commenting strange messages on your post? Well… he might not be real. While once clunky and obvious, these robot accounts are now easily and quietly blending in with the online populace.

While it’s true that these bots did aid in the spread of “fake news” across the internet, when used responsibility they can have a great – and positive – impact. Helpful Twitter bots do exist. We’ve seen bots tackle serious issues such as informing audiences in the wake of natural disasters. And we’ve seen others designed to spread joy, such as providing daily life hacks or generating art and poetry for random users.

While the job of a social media manager is secure for now, one of their roles in the future may be the creation and monitoring of AI to answer inquiries and common FAQs. As we move further into a digital world, we’ll have to continue to come up with the best ways to integrate a brand’s messaging with technology.

At Bohlsen Group, we work to integrate organic messaging, paid social strategy, real-time responses and collaboration with traditional PR efforts. Each component is important and success is tied to their synchronicity. We constantly update lists of media contacts, social influencers, and community partners to ensure increasing reach and strong networking connections. Top-tier media placements are identified in advance so we can identify strategies that will maximize the shelf life and visibility of our earned media. And we build strategic plans and marketing campaigns in a way that allows us to unite all of our tactics under a single, consistent message.

How to Roll Out A Successful Social Media Marketing Campaign

by author @ www.IndianapolisSEO.org

; Social media is definitely the golden goose of modern marketing and a lot of businesses around the world are generating more leads and more sales through social media platforms. However, social media marketing Indianapolis is not as obvious as it looks. Having a Facebook page or a twitter account under your business name does not mean you have a social media marketing strategy. Every small and big business is running towards social media. Setting yourself apart and building your social media space will require outstanding creativity, innovation and above all expertise to create and execute a social media strategy. So how do you create and roll out a good social media marketing plan? Well, here are some few tips to help you out. ; How to Develop a Social Media Strategy ; Creating a comprehensive social media strategy is very easy and as long as you have the basics, you can get started without really spending lots of money on consultation fees. Here are a few steps that you can take in developing the right Indianapolis social mediaplan for your business: ; ·;;;;;;;; Identify Your Target Audience: Social media is a broad platform and billions of users use social networking sites everyday. In order to get the best results, you have to first of all identify a specific audience that you are going to target with your social media marketing plan. This will ensure that the results are maximized well enough and your brand is directed towards the right potential customers. ; ·;;;;;;;; Set Your Social Media Goals: Social media marketing goals are basically designed to keep you on toes. They give a practical road map to plan your social media campaign and they can also allow you to know the kind of outcomes you are going to get. The rule of the thumb is to start by simple goals. For example, if you are looking to brand your business online, set the number of followers you want to acquire, the amount of traffic you wish to generate through social media, and then work on different ways to achieve these objectives. ; ; ·;;;;;;;; Do A Comprehensive Social Media Audit: If you already have an existing social media plan, before moving to the next one, you may want to conduct a thorough audit of the current campaign to see if there are some lessons you can learn moving forward. If you are starting from the start, try to look at your direct and indirect competitors and see what they are doing on the social media front. This will help you learn valuable lessons to ensure your social media marketing campaign picks up the way you want it to. ; ·;;;;;;;; Create A Content Plan: Social media can never be complete without quality content. Although a lot of businesses and social media marketers take this for granted, there is no way social media can succeed without quality content. The best thing to do is to plan early. Have a content […]

What Should You Expect From Your Indianapolis Internet Marketing Company?

by author @ www.IndianapolisSEO.org

As a business owner, do you know what you should expect from your internet marketing company? Many small business owners spend money on hiring digital marketing experts but if you ask them what precisely they are paying for they will not have a clue. It is important to know what you are paying for so that you can know whether you are getting it or not. If your internet marketing company is not doing the following then you are getting less than you paid for: Putting everything internet related together. Internet marketing is comprised of many different areas there is a website designer, a website coder, a search expert, a content developer and more. It is the job of the internet marketing company to make sure that all these people are working together in a coordinated fashion. They should be doing search engine optimization. This is the process through which your website gets visibility online. It ranks websites and eventually, of done right, the websites will end up on the first page of search results. This is a big part of internet marketing. They are also in charge of making sure that any money that is spent online is bringing back good returns. This is money which is spent on things like PPC and Adwords. It is their job to make sure that the money brings favorable returns. Your internet marketing company is in charge of your online reputation. No matter how much you try, there are customers you cannot please and if they go online and write negative things about your business then you may lose clients. It is important that all online comments are tracked so that negative ones can be dealt with. It is the job of a digital marketing company to track all kinds of statistics using the right tools. They will track things like who is coming to your site, how long they are staying, which pages are visited the most, which geographical regions the visitors are from and so on. This information is used to adjust marketing strategy as needed. Your internet marketing company should steer your online strategy. You are the business owner but they are the experts. If they see your business heading down the wrong road when it comes to online marketing it is their job to guide you back to the right one. Any good internet company teaches their clients what they need to know. They tell them what they are doing, why they are doing it and how it will benefit the business. They give them information that can help them make the right decisions. Your online marketing company should be reporting to you on a regular basis. You should agree on benchmarks early on so that you can know what to expect. They should report to you on things like ranking, conversions, how much you are spending compared to how much you are getting and so on. Your internet marketing company is in charge of social media for […]

How to Choose the Best Indianapolis Web Design Company

by author @ www.IndianapolisSEO.org

The way you go about choosing a web designer for your Indianapolis business is important – they will be creating your online identity which is critical for your business. The internet has changed the way businesses market themselves. If you don’t have a strong online presence you may as well close your doors – most people, even the elderly, are now shopping online. This means that you have to find the best Indianapolis web design firm if you want to be successful. Here are the critical things to take into account: •;; ;Clearly define what your goals are It is important to define very clearly what you want your website to achieve. If you are introducing a new business to users, for example, the goal of your site is to educate them about your brand and the products that you sell. If you need an e-commerce site then you will be looking for a website that generates traffic that you can convert. Knowing your goals helps you measure results once the website is up and running. It also helps the web designer know what they are required to do right from the beginning. •;; ;Know your budget Many business owners skimp on websites and end up regretting it eventually. While you shouldn’t spend a dime more than necessary, it is important to set aside a reasonable budget to pay for your site. Costs vary among different web development experts, you should expect to pay at least one or two thousand dollars for construction of the site and a smaller monthly fee for maintenance. Cost is also affected by the number of pages on the site and complexity. •;; ;Find a company that has a good track record Experience with a business similar to yours is very important. The company that you choose should provide proof that they have created websites for businesses in your niche and those websites have performed well (good ROI). They should give you references that you can call to confirm. When you call ask them if they would hire the same company again if they needed another website constructed. You should also look for testimonials and the Better Business Bureau just to be sure. •;; ;Communication is important Being able to communicate with your web design company is important – they will be creating your online brand and they need to know about your business and what you want to achieve. Find out how they communicate with their clients – the good ones usually have an account manager assigned to each client. You should also ask them how long they will take to finish the job – a good firm will get the work done in a few hours. •;; ;Big is not always good It is tempting to go with the big companies because they seem like they know what they are doing. This isn’t always the case; there are many small companies, even individuals, who are able to do very high quality web development. […]

How to Choose the Best Indianapolis Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Company

by author @ www.IndianapolisSEO.org

SEO has become critical in marketing of all kinds of businesses. It is the process through which your business gets ranked online. To explain it in a nutshell, Google has issued guidelines for websites. Those that are very good at following those guidelines get rewarded by being moved closer and closer to the first page of search results, eventually ending up on it. Why is it so important to be on the first page for relevant search terms? Because it is here where users look – they will hardly venture to page 2 of search results. To get SEO right you have to hire the right expert to do it for you. It is complicated and time consuming so you have to make sure that you get the best in Indianapolis. Here is what you should take into account when choosing a search engine optimization company. •;; ;The first thing you should look at is how well they are ranked themselves. They say that charity begins at home and this is very true for SEO. The company that is promising to get you well ranked should be doing very well themselves. If they don’t have a good ranking it is likely that they will not be able to get you what they promise. •;; ;Assurance of positive results is important but you should be careful when it comes to SEO. Anyone who tells you that they will get you on the first page of search results in a week or two is lying to you. SEO is a process and not an event. It takes time to get results and it is affected by many factors. The age of the website, for instance, affects how fast it will rank better – older websites have a better chance. While you want to be assured of good results, there are no real assurances in SEO. •;; ;Look at track record. How many companies have they helped rank in the past and how long did it take them? Ask references for the last 3 clients that they worked for. When you call them find out whether they were happy with services rendered. You should also look online to see what kind of testimonials they get and whether there may be comments about them on the Better Business Bureau. •;; ;Find out what link strategy they use. Links are very important in SEO but unfortunately, it is very easy to get them wrong. Some SEO companies buy links for their clients which doesn’t help them at all. All links should be organic. There are also some who use private blog networks to generate links. While these are effective in increasing ranking, you should be aware that Google is now de-indexing all sites that are connected to private blog networks. •;; ;You should choose an Indianapolis SEO company that you can communicate with. Communication is important because that is how you know whether goals are being met and whether there should be a shift in […]

Internet Marketing

by admin @ www.IndianapolisSEO.org

Internet marketing is becoming a common word for people who are selling services and products online. The internet is a platform that offers an avenue where people can socialize and engage in different business transactions. For this reason, most businesses are migrating from the world of conventional marketing to an internet marketing strategy that guarantees effective results within a short period of time. The most important thing to consider when handling internet marketing is to make it as localized as possible. More Local, Less Competitive Online or digital marketing strategies will be geared towards reaching out to the local market which matters. If a business is situated in a particular location in Indianapolis, it means that the customers buying or who might buy from it are those living within a radius of a few miles. This fact only shows that all marketing processes should be directed towards the local people if the business is to benefit from online marketing. Adding locations to all the marketing texts will benefit your business a great deal in driving traffic to your website and social media pages. Several Indianapolis internet marketing firms already do this. But we are sure we do it better here. Use Social Media Consumers in Indianapolis will use the available social media platforms to discuss about different products and services and it is important if they could find you on these platforms. The reason why social media platforms have become popular in online marketing is because they have a lot of free tools that can be used by businesses to reach out to consumers. An advantage is that a lot of people have joined social media platforms and this means that the business can easily get an audience which will be ready to listen. Local marketing still plays a major part in social media platforms to ensure that the efforts are geared towards consumers who can buy from the business. Content The content used in your online marketing strategy will be important in determining which kind of people come to your website or social media pages. People like reading interesting content regardless of what it is about. For this reason, you should pay attention to the content you are providing your visitors because it will control the time they spend on the site and then determine if they get to click on the links you provide and probably buy from you. The content should lean towards things that are important to the consumer and information that will help them in solving their problems. At present, there are already many Indianapolis internet marketing companies which are mentioned in the other parts of this website – particularly the homepage. What makes this interesting is that none of them have custom-tailored solutions for businesses. If you are serious of developing a great web marketing strategy for your business, don’t hesitate to contact us and ask us!

How Do You Find The Very Best Indianapolis Web Design?

by author @ www.IndianapolisSEO.org

Your website is one of the most important tools in your business; it is what helps you find online leads and customers. This means that you should be very careful when sourcing Indianapolis web design. The kind of designer you look for will eventually determine the kind of website that you will have. There are many qualities that make up a good web designer. Although this article doesn’t go into all of them, we will tell you the most important things to look for in Indianapolis web development. •;; ;Many people will tell you that the first thing that you should be looking for in a web designer is experience. This is not necessarily true. You may find that some relatively new entrants into the market are able to produce better websites that people who have been around for years. This may be because the older guys are stuck in their habits. Younger designers also tend to be better trained. Before you choose a designer based on how long they have been around think about the quality of websites that they design. •;; ;Regardless of the number of years that a company has been around you should always ask to see a portfolio. What websites have they built in the past? Are they in a business that is similar to yours? It is important that the Indianapolis website designer that you choose have experience in your niche. The better they understand the market that you’re trying to reach the better a website they will build for you. Get references for the last 3 companies that they worked for. Ask them if they would hire the same company again. •;; ;How much do they charge? While you may be tempted to go with whoever charges the least it is important that you think twice. Good Indianapolis web design is not cheap. While it is true that you will find some designers who are very cheap you should know that their work isn’t always very good. That said, you should not pay more than you have to. The average price per page is about $30 and you will pay more if you have any extras added. If you find designers who are charging much more than that you should ask them what is covered by the extra cost. •;; ;Get an indication of how long they will take to complete your website. This is one area where small businesses in Indianapolis get caught off guard. They contract web designers only to wait for months for their sites to be completed, sometimes eventually paying another company to do it. A good website should not take more than a few days to build and test. In fact, good web designers aim to be done with a website in just a day or two. •;; ;Will they make your website mobile friendly? This has become a requirement by Google. They are giving search result preference to websites that render on mobile devices. If you want […]

Social Media Marketing

by admin @ www.IndianapolisSEO.org

Are you looking for ways to improve your social media marketing? This form of marketing is increasingly gaining popularity because of the increase in the number of users in Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and other major sites. In fact, businesses that have not embraced it could be missing on a huge opportunity to establish their brand and draw more customers. Here are simple few tips to help you get the best return from your social media marketing efforts. Limit your platforms. It can be tempting to have accounts in as many social media sites as possible, but this may not favor your marketing efforts. Why? It’s difficult to build a strong presence in each and every platform .The tip is to find 3 or 4 sites where you can grow the strongest presence that can benefit your business most . Find out what others are doing. This does not necessarily mean copying, but it will give you an idea of what is popular among your competitors’ audience. You can then create content on topics that your followers and fans also want or are likely looking for. Research the popular topics from competitors and try to craft content with a unique slant. Engage your fans and followers. Growing your fan base is important, but interacting with them on a regular basis is even more important. You don’t have to be logged in all the time. Try to find some time to follow their comments and reply to them. By being consistent, you’ll be able to keep your customers and attract potential ones. Organize contests. Another tip to succeed in Indianapolis social media marketing is to host regular contests on your social media platforms, with simple prizes such as discounts or free samples up for grabs. You will have more people following you or liking your page, therefore expanding your community and your potential client base. Provide quality content. Like other forms of internet marketing, great content is important for your social media marketing efforts. In general, quality content involves a range of aspects including layout, design, formatting, authenticity and many others more. When you provide quality content on a regular, your fans and followers will see that you’re resourceful and have expertise in your niche. As such, they will first come to your business when they need products or services similar to what you offer. If implemented properly, a social media marketing campaign can bring higher conversions, improve rankings on the search engines, and increase brand awareness among others.

How to Choose an Indianapolis Internet Marketing Company

by author @ www.IndianapolisSEO.org

Your small business in Indianapolis needs internet marketing it is the only way your brand will be seen in the jungle that is the internet. There are probably hundreds of internet marketing strategies that that could be used but what matters more is the Indianapolis internet marketing company that you choose. If you choose poorly you will be throwing away money and you will also be losing valuable leads that you can convert into cash. With so many companies now claiming that they are the best at digital marketing, it is easy for you to get confused by all the hype. As a small business owner it is important that you know how to find the best among them. Look for the following: Are they really in the internet marketing business? As we have already mentioned, there are many people who claim that they are internet marketers when really what they are is computer savvy. You want to find a company that is properly versed with all kinds of internet marketing strategies. Start by visiting their website and subscribing to their newsletter. Look at their websites ranking using tools like Alexa which tells you how well a site is rated by Google. If they are internet marketers they should have done a good enough job on their own website to get a good ranking. Have they worked with businesses like yours before? To know this you have to look at a portfolio. It is important to go with a company that has worked with small businesses like yours because they come with specific needs when it comes to internet marketing. The company that you choose should also be well versed with your industry basically, the more they know about your business and your brand the better their internet marketing strategy. Are they up to date with trends? This is hard to know because you are not an expert itself but again, looking at their website tells you how well updated a digital marketing firm is. See what kind of information they provide for potential clients. In the about us page check to see what they say about themselves. If they have a blog (and they should) you should also look and see whether it is up to date. Follow them on social media to see how they interact with users. Do they have proper performance management tools? This is one are where many business owners fail they spend money on internet marketing companies without measuring results on a regular basis. The internet marketing company that you hire should provide tools that measure the results of their digital marketing strategy. Results will include things like the number of leads that are derived online every month, the number of online sales and so on. Try as much as you can to hire an Indianapolis firm It is important to hire locally because you can meet, discuss strategy, they can come to your business to get a better feel for the brand and […]

YouTube! Seriously? Are you aware of the phenomenon today that is called “YouTube”? I remember back when Google paid a very large amount of money for this start-up company that was allowing people to put videos, their own videos, online for other people to just watch. I remember thinking to myself; “why would other people even care about someone else’s personal videos”? Well, as you can see it would not have been a good thing for YouTube to be relying upon my vision for forecasting the future! Fast-forward a few years to today’s world and we see that YouTube has blown up and become wildly popular with not only teenagers, who probably consume the most content from YouTube, but also with businesses as well. Let’s take a look at some statistics recently compiled showing exactly how much YouTube has become a big part of the total amount of online content that is consumed daily. What is the overall reach of YouTube? 1 Billion people use YouTube There are 4 Billion video views per day 1 Billion of these views are mobile views   Who uses YouTube? 43% of Baby Boomers 58% of Gen X’ers 81% of Millennial’s 82 % of Teens 14 – 17 9% of Small Businesses   There are some really good takeaways to be gleaned from the data presented above. The most obvious one is that ‘video content’ as a means of imparting information is extremely successful and is here to stay. There are two additional items of note that stand out as well and these you really should pay attention to. The large amount of video content that is viewed via a mobile device. A full ¼ of all views in a day. If you have or know a teenager, then you most likely see them glued to their phone (on YouTube) a significant amount of the time. This take-away points to demographic information that should not be ignored if your product or service is targeting anyone below the age of 30. They may see and respond to content on your companies YouTube channel before ever making it over to visit your business website. This is significant and do not ignore this statistic. Only 9% of small businesses are actually using YouTube. That is an extremely low number of businesses that are trying to use YouTube as a marketing channel. In my experience even for those businesses that ‘are’ using YouTube, they are not using it effectively or to their marketing advantage. This presents a huge area of opportunity for those businesses who choose to engage with YouTube and use it to cultivate new leads, more clients and build their overall online brand. Video usage is very high and the competition among small businesses is extremely low! Having a video ranked in YouTube & Google for a keyword related to your niche gives you a powerful tool to leverage for your business and provides you with an effective way to target your customers and drive traffic […]

The post A Basic Guide In Indianapolis SEO For Small Businesses appeared first on www.IndianapolisSEO.org.

by admin @ www.IndianapolisSEO.org

Do You Hate Your Business Website? Initially, a business website is seemingly a fun thing to think about and put together. It is really great to see it take shape and start to build a ‘digital’ representation of the character and nature of your business online. Whether you do this website build yourself, have a friend or relative do it, or pay for a professional, once it is all complete it is fun to see it live! You just can’t help pulling it up and showing others or telling others the web address and letting them get the full affect themselves when it comes up on their computer. This is all well and good, but once the initial luster wears off. Your business website starts to become just a digital pamphlet that you have to push people to for engagement. Don’t get me wrong. Your website is still as good aesthetically as it ever was, and it is very useful for transmitting information to clients and customers. It is a great place to store numerous resources that anyone can access at any time, if and when they need to do so. What you start to realize over time is that it seems that no one new is seeing your website first and then coming to engage with your company for a product or service. The only people who seem to use your website are the people who already know that it is there and exactly how to get to it. Now you begin to ask the question of “How do I get people to see my website when they have no idea that my business exists?”  After a while you may even start to feel “bad” about your website and almost like you probably don’t even need one at all! If no one sees it unless I tell them exactly where to go, why do I have it and what good is it? Now you think that you probably wasted a lot of time and money on something that was not really helpful at all to your business. It seems sort of like having a fresh popcorn machine inside your store for your customers to get free popcorn. Only the customers who come through the door can get the free popcorn and only the customers who have been to your store even know that you ‘have’ free popcorn in your store. Having the free popcorn machine cost you money and some customers may come back because of it, but it is not bringing you any new customers. Everyone that has never been to your store has no idea that they could get free popcorn if they would just drop by. Why keep spending money to keep up with making popcorn then? Why keep wasting time on that ‘dumb’ website that I had built for my business 2 years ago? This is a good question (about the website), and I have an answer that I hope you will think about. What […]

How to Find the Best Indianapolis Internet Marketing Company

by author @ www.IndianapolisSEO.org

As a business owner in Indianapolis, you want to do everything to ensure that you achieve online dominance. This means that your internet marketing has to be top notch. For that to happen you have to work with the best internet marketing Indianapolis service. Unfortunately, there are so many of them that you may have a hard time deciding which one is best. In order to make sure that you dont waste time and money working with the wrong company we have prepared some tips to guide you on what to look for: Do they have a track record for winning? This is important. You want to work with a company that has been known to help websites get better ranked. Ask them which companies they have worked for in the past and check how well ranked they are yourself for relevant search terms. How long will they take to get you ranked? Any company that tells you that they will get you ranked overnight is lying to you. Ranking is a process and not an event. It can take months for your website to get to the first page of search results depending on a variety of factors. Things such as how old your website is, how long you have been doing SEO and even your niche will determine how long it takes you get you ranked. How flexible are they? You need to work with an Indianapolis internet marketing company that is flexible on terms. They should have several packages that you can choose from over time. In the beginning, when your website is new and no SEO has been done you may need to pay for the most expensive package that offers a large variety of services to get you ranked. Over time, however, you will need fewer services so you should be able to pay less. How often do they report to you and what is included in the report? Most good digital marketing Indianapolis firms usually send their clients a report once a month and also whenever the client requests it. The report should touch on all areas of internet marketing that are in the original contract. Do they do the work themselves? There are some companies that outsource internet marketing to countries where labor is cheap. This means that they have no control over how well the marketing is done. Dont choose a company simply because they are big. You may find a lone ranger who works from his garage and who is able to produce brilliant results. Internet marketing is best done by understanding what search engines are looking for. Do they use social media? As of May 2015, Facebook announced that it has more than 1.5 billion users. Social media has huge potential if used properly. If an internet marketing company tells you that social media is not part of their core strategy you should find another one. Do you have a point person that you communicate with? It can be very […]

by admin @ www.IndianapolisSEO.org

Hello and Welcome to IndianapolisSEO.org! My name is Darrin and I’m the owner of this website. Indianapolis SEO is a digital marketing agency for Indianapolis businesses. Our firm’s expert services include search engine optimization, web design, online reputation management, conversion optimization, social media optimization, mobile marketing, etc. Let me guide you on what to look for and what to beware of in your search for an SEO to help your business. Let me also help remove some misconceptions about this industry so you will know what to expect. What You Should Know Before Hiring An SEO Company 1.  Beware of SEO’s offering a one-size-fits-all pricing model. There are quite a few SEO companies out there who offer a single price for every client they have. These deals may look attractive as the prices are normally quite competitive. However, you should NEVER choose them. Here’s why… Every single business is different and unique. Because of that, every business website should also be different and unique. The methods and strategies used to get to the top of search engine results will be different. Choosing one of these firms will either result in a useless campaign or extra hidden costs. Any good SEO firm should assess each site and make a personalized quote. The cost of the campaign will be different depending on the target market size. An international campaign will be more expensive than a local firm just targeting the local community. That’s common sense. Think about it. If you hope to earn some $30,000 more or even an extra million dollars a month for your business, then you can’t expect to pay just $500 a month. The cost of any SEO campaign should be relative to your business’ financial objectives and goals. Such companies can offer that kind of pricing model because their methods and strategies are the same for all kinds of websites. They are NOT after results. They are after accomplishing their tasks. And that’s it for them! We do this differently at Indianapolis SEO. We act as your partners here. We make sure you’re ranked for your keywords so you have a great ROI. Call Us Now @ (317) 225-5965! 2. Check their success. The Internet makes it pretty easy to get advice and find the best SEO firm in your area. If the firm is good at SEO, you can be pretty sure that they will rank highly in search engine results themselves. For this reason, visit Google and type “Indianapolis SEO”. Then take a look at the results. The best SEO companies in your area should appear on the 1st page. By doing this, you can clearly assess their skills and check that they can use SEO on their website. There’s no point choosing an SEO company which can’t optimise their sites within their local area. Moreover, the best SEO firms will have multiple listings on the 1st page, and this should make you feel more confident that they can do the same for your business. Multiple listings on the 1st page is what separates the men […]

What Should You Be Looking For in an Indianapolis Web Design Company?

by admin @ www.IndianapolisSEO.org

The way your business website is designed is very important it has to grab a users attention long enough for them to absorb content and make the decision to either buy from you or leave you their email address. The problem in Indianapolis as with many other cities across America is the fact that there are so many web design companies that business owners get confused as to which one to go with. You dont have to take a gamble if you know what to look for in a website development company. Look for the following qualities: Do they have a portfolio? This is the only way that they can show you the quality of their work. A portfolio shows previous and current clients. As you look at the portfolio check whether there are businesses similar to yours but not necessarily the same. If yours is a small business, for instance, do they have small businesses in their portfolio? Because if they have only worked with big businesses they may not have the skills necessary to create a website that is effective for a small business. You should also ask for the contact details of 2 or 3 clients so that you can call them for references. The most important question to ask when you call them is this: would you hire this website design company again if you needed a new website? Do they develop content for you? Your website exists for one reason only to pass on the kind of information about your products or services that would encourage users to do business with you. If the content that is on it is not up to standard then you are wasting both time and money. Find out whether the company will create content for you. If yes, what kind of input do they need from you? For them to create effective content they have to understand your brand and your objectives. They should be able to interview you to get the necessary information. If a web development company fails to do this they are not as good as they claim to be. Will they do SEO? Search engine optimization, or SEO, is the process through which you site becomes visible. If done well (and consistently over time) your site will eventually appear on the first page of search results for relevant keywords. Ideally, the web design company should be able to create your website and also SEO it so that users can get to know that you exist. Will they create a mobile responsive website? Google is now forcing all websites to be optimized for mobiles and tablets. It is easy to understand why almost 20% of all internet users access it from mobile devices. As of April 2015, Google will give priority to sites that are mobile optimized. The Indianapolis web design company that you choose should have the capability to provide you with a mobile responsive website. What do they do in terms of support? Website […]

Cleverness, Confidence and Cannabis

How Much Do You Pay Your Business Website? Does your best salesperson sell your products or services by just using a “pamphlet” to describe why it is someone should choose to do business with you? Do they just pass out really cool business cards and then wait for people to call at some later time because they really liked the business card? I certainly hope not! If so, then your business is doomed! I am not a sales person and even I would be able to see that would be the case. New clients are not secured from just reading a pamphlet or from seeing a business card. These items are just ice breakers at best and if there is no immediate follow through they both become expensive (for you) trash. There is a need for these items but they are just the first point, or dot if you will, on a long line of “touch points” that need to be navigated towards building trust with a potential client. This is a process towards a relationship, a mutually beneficial relationship. I know that you understand this and the proof is that you still have an alive and breathing business. However, have you ever stopped to consider “what” exactly it is that your business website is being used for? How “should” it be used? How “could” it be utilized better? You see, your business website is just like the pamphlet and the business card; it is a necessary item to have in today’s business world. Instinctively, you know this and that is why you have it, but while it ‘is’ both of those things it can be so much more! It can actually be like, and work as good as, your best qualified sales person. It can make that initial sales touch and also begin building that ever critical relationship to transform a potential customer into a paying client. It has the capability to not only inform a customer about your business, answer their questions and help educate them, but it can also began building up the trust factor towards your business and brand as a whole. You have to think about your website in terms of “it” being a sales person. Just like a real sales person can be kind of general and ho-hum in their sales style, not being very proactive in trying to build a relationship, so your website can be as well. If the content on your site is not very engaging, proactive, or even ‘active’ at all, then it is being just like a mediocre sales person. On the other hand, if the content on your website is relevant not only to things directly tied to your product or service, but is also relevant in a broader sense to the larger community of things that are ancillary to your product and service, it is now starting down the path of building a relationship with someone. You can (and should) spend more time and effort creating engaging […]
